The Education Solutions Specialist will be responsible for the development and growth of Smartbox products, particularly the Grid for Schools offering to the K-12 market within assigned geographic territory; so more children and young people have a voice and achieve their goals.
The role will be interesting and varied with no one day being the same and will suit someone with drive and a dynamic and adaptable nature as well as having strong attention to detail and motivation to succeed and achieve targets.

·Manage the Full Sales Cycle: Lead all stages of the sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to contact, product presentations, demonstrations, and closing deals.
·Account Management: Collaborate with the Trainer & Curriculum Content Specialist to manage school accounts using the Grid for Schools package. Serve as the primary point of contact, guiding schools through the sales cycle while understanding their specific classroom challenges and identifying opportunities to enhance implementation.
·Product Expertise: Leverage your deep product knowledge to support demonstrations of Grid software and the Grid for Schools package, ensuring clients understand the value of these tools.
·Drive Success: Work closely with teams across the Smartbox Group to ensure seamless support for the US market, driving results and fostering collaboration.
·Build and Nurture Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, multi-level relationships with school districts, becoming a trusted advisor that provides tailored solutions to meet customer objectives.
·Tailored Quoting and Sales Process: Accurately prepare customized quotes and manage the sales ordering process, ensuring customers receive timely updates and information.
·Stay Informed: Keep up with industry standards, trends, and developments, continually growing your expertise to provide informed advice and solutions.
·Conference Attendance & Client Engagement: Represent Smartbox at industry conferences and travel to client sites as needed to build relationships and demonstrate product value.
·Presentations: Deliver engaging in-person and web-based presentations to introduce and maintain the positioning of Smartbox products.
·Pipeline Management: Provide monthly reports on sales pipeline opportunities and key account campaigns to ensure business growth.
·Complete Administrative Tasks: Ensure the timely and accurate completion of RFPs, RFQs, bids, and vendor paperwork, maintaining a high standard of thoroughness and professionalism.
The successful applicant will have a positive and pro-active attitude with a “can do” approach.
·Bachelor’s or advanced degree
·Education sales experience preferred
·Experience as a K-12 Teacher/Educator or School/District Administrator/Ed Tech beneficial.
·Familiarity with sales and purchasing cycles as they relate to school entities, federal/state funding, etc.
·Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
·Ability to listen attentively to customer inquiries and concerns and resolve them.
·Ability to multi-task and work comfortably in a dynamic, change-driven environment
·Problem-solver mentality
·Ability to use Microsoft Business Central and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
·The ability to travel as required for customer sales cycle and conferences, with reliable transportation.
·Experience with completion of RFP/RFQs, bids, and vendor paperwork is beneficial.
·This position is remote and will require regular travel to Smartbox Inc in Pittsburgh and Talk To Me Technology offices based in Iowa, and various conferences. As well as occasional travel to our head office in the UK, Malvern. A valid passport is required.
·Salary range is $70,000 - $77,500 gross per annum based on experience.
